As a global supplier of health and safety solutions, SG World’s Brexit Team regularly review the Company’s position regarding the UK’s decision to leave the EU.

Whilst in the transition period up until the 31st December 2020, we are constantly reappraising the situation and any potential impact.

We continue to prepare based on the assumption that there will be no free trade agreement in place between the UK and EU in time for the end of the transition period. Therefore, we remain focused on key areas we have considered to be important; including, but not limited to changes to tariffs, customs borders, exchange rates and regulatory frameworks, as well as any impact on our integrated supply chain. We are operating and preparing at every level of our organisation, from customer service, sales, production and procurement, to finance, compliance, human resources, and information technology.

It cannot be denied that during this time of change there are significant challenges for all organisations and whilst, as we have done previously, we will endeavour to absorb certain cost increases, there may be taxes or duties imposed on imports and exports that we have no control over and as a result force us to review our prices. However as an organisation that has been in business for over 50 years we will always focus on providing our customers will the best support and services before, during and after the transition.

Despite the political uncertainty, we are confident that our planning will enable us to maintain the high level of customer service and support that you have come to expect. We will keep you informed of any significant changes or updates as events unfold.
